The name of this Blog is "Life is Simple....!". It is shortened from a little saying I found several years ago that said " Life is Simple, Its just not Easy". There wasn't a reference with this quote, only ANON. It has been my Mantra ever since I found it. Today, I understand it. Today we lost our Older, Male Cat Spencer to Kidney failure. He was 15 years old and had withstood all of the ups and downs that our crazy life had thrown at us and our relationship. He was the constant in our life, always grumpy, standoffish but a snuggle buddy when you were sad. He had moved and reaclimated to new surroundings more often that an Army Brat, always finding "his" spot to claim for either sleeping or people/bird watching. If anything, bringing a 2nd cat, Princess into our family unit only improved on his grumpiness. On 2nd thought, he developed a mellowness and actually became a social butterfly whenever company showed up. Not so social that people could pet him, but hanging out with everybody from a safe distance.
Today, the Circle of Life was completed. A long life of friendship and love was completed and Spencer moved on to Kitty Heaven. I'm sure there aren't very many Black Cats in heaven, but there is one very special one there now! Goodbye Buddy! We will miss you!
