A New Season

Isn't it great the way that God created Seasons!  That being said, doesn't Illinois have the wackiest seasons.  I mean, a July with more days over 90 degrees that not and now August, traditionally the hotest month of the year, mild and comfortable 80 degree days and upper 60 degree nights.  It is really hard to get upset at the weather around here because you can always count on it changing.  So we deal with it!

But what about the Seasons that we experience in our lifes.  God created those too.  How we choose to deal with the season we are in is no different that dealing with the "Climate" season that we are in.  Part of the "Life" Season is of our own making.  We try to wrestle control of our life away from our true North (God) and totally get lost in our self made storm and stand shaking our fist at our situation.  Doesn't work, never did and usually prolongs the Season.  Not good!

Sometimes the Lord puts us into a New Season in our Life.  The reason, to reinforce our faith and strenghten our bond with him.  Sometimes it is a desert, again to build our faith, cause us to trust and lean into him more.  Sometimes the Season is filled with pure joy.  Growth in your marriage, kids, grandkids, new friends and old friends, your job and deeper love with the almighty.  No matter which "Lord" Season you are in, you learn and grow.

I love the Season that I am currently in!
